Great ski resort with skiing and snowboarding rentals along with night lights and snowtubing areas for others in the family who don't want to go the slopes. Overall, Camelback is a wonderful place to go for any trip to have some winter fun!!
Thank you, for the life experience that life isn't always fair.
What a major disappointment and let down after taking time off and traveling over an hour, to be told that the web site is wrong and the people on the phone don't know what they are talking about, but hey just because we're not going to let you do what you came here to do, have "Fun" doing anything else.
We did call to make reservations, but we're told that it wasn't necessary.
Talk about "to big for your britches" or "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing".
Both blue shirt people said that the web site was wrong, and that we should have called to make reservations.
The website stated 1 pm check in time for treetop adventure.
God knows that I needed to be reminded of that!
Then again and again said we can sign up for anything we want EXCEPT for the reason that we came here to do.
My family and I came to "camel back" for the tree top adventure!
Never again can I take a friendly or causal attitude toward organizing a family outing.
Another note was that they didn't have every activity available for the Lil Explorer package(kids package) as advertised in their pamphlet, but they did reduce the advertised price.
Hi, Please be advised that this place doesn't give good service. We traveled 3 hours to get to this place and called before to make sure timing and availability is fine. At arrival , we were told that everything is sold out and there is no possibility to go on anything. That was all after being told over the phone that we could come half hour in advance and purchase tickets. This was extremely discussing after talking to manager after manager and no one wanted to help us.
Overall we all had a fun time, and would probably come again!
At 12:15 we were turned away.
Sorry I trusted in you to make this a positive experience.
I can only post this review for the activities that i participated in. My wife and I went for zip-lining, and did the 4000' zip racer and the 1000' zip line. The 4000' zip racer was awesome. You are released from the summit of Camelback mountain and head downward for a total of 4000' in about 1 to 1.5 minutes. Scary as heck, but once you are zipping it isn't too bad. Not like roller coaster where you feel that you are falling and a drop in your gut - this is rather relaxing after the initial take-off. It was windy and the line swayed a bit from side to side, but there are spectacular views and you actually do feel like you are flying through air. You don't have to do anything but sit there and relax. The whole process took 30-45 minutes to get suited up, shuttle up to the top of the summit, wait turn to go down in pairs, and walk back to the base to drop off harness.
We showed the website to the workers and the manager.
Do I need to get a lawyer? Because I am NOT driving over an hour (each way) God help me if there is snow, to be told NO, the reason you too time out of life, (to visit our money extraction location) is not cared about, but since your here why don't ya give us more money to distract your kids so this isn't a total loss.
The other reason for the 4 stars was the food. We only got chicken strips and fries for the kids, but it was cold and didn't taste that great.
The blue shirt manager with the stretcher in his ear lobes said the call center people on top of the hill don't have the most accurate information.
Looks like I will have to make God damn sure to have verification in writing and signed by someone in authority who is accountable to follow through to deliver what is stated in future contracts.
The reason for the 4 stars is the lack of help from the staff at the registration for the mountain adventures. After purchasing the different adventures we were never told where we needed to go for anything we signed up for (Mountain coaster, 4000' zip line, treetop course, and gem mining for the kids). We were able to find a helpful employee outside to guide us where we needed to go, and the majority of the employees working that day were very helpful and friendly. A few employees you could tell would rather be somewhere else, and just weren't as helpful.
I wasn't thrilled with the 1000' zip line. In comparison it was a little easier to spin around and zip backward, but it was a 30 second zip through the trees, at a not-so-high altitude (you walk up to the launch point). For a $10 add-on to the 4000' zip it wasn't bad, but not nearly as worthwhile as the 4000' zip.
I can't speak to other activities although they had a lot of other things you can do that looked interesting.
The different activities were fun for the various ages in our group. Everyone left happy because of the fun and enjoyment we had.
